The Universal Impactor (SEPP) is a pneumatic system capable of reproducing guided or free flight impacts of anthropomorphic forms on a variety of surfaces. It can be used to reproduce pedestrian protection and interior fitting tests, as well as race track roadside barriers according to the FIM homologation procedures.
The SEPP is designed to perform the following normative tests:
- Behaviour of steering wheel and steering column in frontal collisions.
- Protection of pedestrians and cyclists in collision with vehicle.
- Interior fitting according with the Regulations ECE Nº 12 and 21.
